How do I get involved?

Attend our weekly business meetings to learn more about upcoming events and club activities and how you can become a part of the planning! 

 

What are the discussion meetings?

This meeting consists of exploration of recent studies in psychology, ranging from biological, social, cognitive, and other various components of psychology. Research articles are used to facilitate a group discussion on the topic for that day so that members can learn, ask questions, and share their thoughts and opinions on hot topics in psychology.

 

What are the business meetings?

The business meeting consists of the discussion and planning of our events, activities, and volunteer opportunities!

How do I submit ideas for the club?

If you can't come to our meetings but still want to share your great ideas with us, you can contact the officers by sending an email to psychalliance@wcsu.edu, or direct message us on  Instagram! Also, feel free to send us any questions you may have!

Do I have to be a psychology major to join?

Any student is welcome to come to all meetings and events! There is a diverse group of majors in the Psych Alliance; we have had members who are meteorology, anthropology/sociology, education, computer science, and nursing majors! To become an official member of Psi Chi, however, you must have a major or minor in psychology.

Who should I contact if I have a question/concern about the department?

Our 2023-2024  Student Representative, Jade Carriero, is  a voice for our psychology department students. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback about the department, reach out to Jade  at Carriero007@wcsu.edu and she will relay the information to faculty at their department meetings.​
