Psi Chi

Officer Positions

​

 

President: Motivate club members to create and implement new ideas and projects for the club; run one business meeting and one discussion meeting per week; prepare agendas; delegate tasks and responsibilities needed for events, ceremonies, etc.; book and confirm all events, which includes reserving rooms and requesting food service; submit required paperwork to WCSU Student Life; provide resources and opportunities from Psi Chi International.

 

Vice President: Assist the President in facilitating the chapter’s goals; lead meetings if the President is absent; help other officers when they need assistance.

Treasurer: Verify information concerning funds, deposits, and accounts; allocate or reimburse money to fellow members; work with Advisor to get said funds in order.

Treasurer: Verify information concerning funds, deposits, and accounts of PSA; allocate or reimburse money to fellow members; work with President to create SGA budget every semester; go to budget hearings to confirm SGA budget; work with Advisors on funds regarding the EPA conference every Spring semester; work with Advisors for allocating funds for the Journal of Undergraduate Psychological Research.

 

 

 

 

 

 

There are many opportunities to become an officer in PsychAlliance! Elections for the following year take place mid-April, before Psi Chi Inductions.

Psych Alliance
Joint Officer Positions

Secretary: Record the minutes for the business meetings; send meeting minutes to the Advisor, President, and SGA; keep minutes on file for the entire academic year; keep track of email addresses for students to join; keep track of the club’s event calendar; manage the Psych Alliance Gmail account.

 

Student Representative: Represent the Student Body and the Psych Alliance at Psychology Department Faculty Meetings.

Publicity and Social Media: Make flyers to promote meetings, events, activities, and opportunities; have Advisors confirm flyers 3 weeks in advance before the event; print flyers; have other members help with hanging up flyers. Promote meetings, events, activities, and opportunities by talking to WXCI, completing publicity request forms, maintaining the Psych Alliance website and Instagram page, submitting events to CSI and the WOW, and emailing department faculty about upcoming events.
